The
favorite local hangout and travel destination hotspot, IBIS BAY Waterfront Resort, will be
featured on the season premiere of “Sand Masters”, which airs on the Travel
Channel this Thursday, April 5 at 9 p.m.
Key West locals and guests are invited to view the premiere at IBIS BAY
Waterfront Resort on the giant poolside projection screen outside the brand new
Stoned Crab restaurant.
According to Chris
Holland, owner of IBIS BAY Waterfront Resort, “Key West is a place to have fun,
the type of fun you can’t have anywhere else, so we at IBIS BAY host tons of
events throughout the year to give everyone unique experiences whether they are
in town for a week or for a lifetime. We’re proud to represent Key West on Sand
Masters, and it’s our hope that the show brings more travelers to support our
local merchants. I try to organize
events like the outrageous Professor Splash and Sand Masters production to give
Key Westers and all of the visitors some truly one-of-a-kind entertainment, and
it’s always a blast!”
The
Sand Guys, hosts of “Sand Masters”, visited IBIS Bay Waterfront Resort during
Fantasy Fest 2011 to create some amazing and crazy sand sculptures, all while
Professor Splash performed a 30-foot daredevil high dive into just 18 inches of
water. And as you’ll see by the way the
hosts dress in the season premiere, they didn’t just come to watch Fantasy
Fest, they came to be a part of it!
IBIS
BAY is known for having fun and original attractions such as Mixed Martial Arts
Fight Nights, movie nights on the poolside movie screen, hosting performers
during the Key West Songwriter’s Festival and holding fashion shows for local
designers. The resort is also involved
in several fundraising efforts to support Key West causes such as The Kevin
Piper Jr. Foundation and the Florida Keys Unit of the American Cancer Society.
