Furthermore, according to Take1 Executive Vice
President and Program Director Scott Carroll, the new policy amendment
automatically extends to all current policy holders, thus eliminating the need
for clients to reapply for the added protection coverage. “This is a very big deal. No one is more in touch with the needs of the
entertainment industry than Take1,” Carroll asserted today.
“The
vast majority of today’s entertainment content is created and stored on
reusable media and it’s critically important that the creators of this content be
able to rest assured that the content they produce is protected just like every
other piece of equipment they use.”
Carroll
emphasized that, very often, recording media of all types are excluded from
coverage in most policies written by other insurance providers. “We believe that doing so is a genuine
disservice to our clients,” Carroll explained.
“After all, the content is the most value asset that should be
protected. We can help provide this
peace of mind by covering the media connected to a client’s recording
equipment.”
