Advanced Named A 2013 Integration Award Winner By Commercial Integrator & TechDecisions Media For Its Work In GE's Grid IQ Global Innovation Center

Advanced, Canada’s premier AV and IT integration company, today announced that it has won a 2013 Integration Award from Commercial Integrator and TechDecisions Media in the category of Top Corporate Solution for its design and installation of AV solutions in 55 rooms of GE’s $40 million, 200,000 square foot facility in Markham, Ontario. The award was presented to David Weatherhead, Co-President at Advanced, and Mark McPherson, Vice President of Sales at Advanced at InfoComm 2013 in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

 

“GE asked us to integrate cutting-edge AV solutions throughout their new facility, including a 58-foot Prysm LPD video wall in their Customer Experience Center,” Weatherhead said today. “We worked hard to provide visitors of the center with a one-of-a-kind customer experience, and it is a privilege to have that work acknowledged by Commercial Integrator and TechDecisions Media.”

Winners were chosen by Commercial Integrator and TechDecisions Media editorial staffs, who considered all aspects involved in system solutions such as client’s priorities and end user benefits, innovation, equipment incorporated, challenges overcome, creativity and aesthetics. The installation will be published in the June issue of Commercial Integrator and in the TechDecisions Special InfoComm Print Edition that will be distributed at InfoComm.

The installation at GE’s Grid IQ™ Global Innovation Center encompassed 55 rooms including the Customer Experience Center, executive offices, boardrooms, training rooms, and meeting rooms, all of which utilize state-of-the-art AV equipment including video conferencing systems, interactive touchscreens, in-ceiling speakers and microphones.
