Omar Prashad Appointed Director of Sales - Systems Integration At Advanced

In a move to strengthen its sales efforts at a critically important time of expansion, Advanced, Canada’s premier AV and IT integrator, today announced the appointment of Omar Prashad to the position of Director of Sales ­– Systems Integration, effective immediately, according to David Weatherhead, Co-President at Advanced. Prashad will report directly to Vice President of Sales, Mark McPherson.

We’re confident that his sales experience and leadership abilities will play a crucial role in bringing Advanced to the next level in the integration market.”

Prashad comes to Advanced from Duocom Canada Inc., where he served most recently as the Vice President of Sales and Engineering and was tasked with providing leadership and management of all sales, operations and engineering team members. Prashad was responsible for increasing revenue by reforming the organization’s sales strategy and department alignment, and also created and deployed formal operational processes that resulted in better technical utilization, accurate job costing, and an effective, efficient, repeatable project life-cycle.

Throughout his 10-year career in the AV industry, Prashad has sold, designed, and managed numerous innovative six- and seven-figure audiovisual integration projects for a wide breadth of clients in the corporate, education, healthcare and legal markets. Prior to entering the workforce, Prashad attended York University and graduated in 2003 with an Undergraduate degree in Psychology.
