Texas Department Of Public Safety Turns To The Response Network For Online Training Solution

The Response Network (TRN), owner and operator of, the leading provider of in-service online training and administrative tracking software solutions, today announced that the Texas Department of Public Safety ( has adopted TRN’s online training solution to provide a consistent, cost-effective way to ensure that all 3,800 of its commissioned officers maintain the highest level of readiness.

According to The Response Network President & CEO Bradley J. Naples, the agreement with The Texas Department of Public Safety comes at the same time that the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education has approved for credit all of TRN’s online courses. “We are very proud to add the Texas Department of Public Safety to the growing list of law enforcement agencies throughout the United States who have come to rely upon TRN and our online training solution to meet their training needs.”

According to J. Frank Woodall, Chief Training Officer at the Texas Department of Public Safety, “By integrating The Response Network’s online courses into our ongoing training programs, we believe we will provide our officers with professional quality, cost-effective training.  The online platform allows us to improve the consistency of the training provided to our officers statewide while reducing the costs to the agency.”

The Response Network proactively developed a totally new online training course on the use and operation of police traffic RADAR specifically to meet the needs of the Texas Department of Public Safety. “This online course, which combines state-of-the-art 3D design with the most current information on RADAR/LIDAR operations and applications, allows us to leverage technology and more efficiently train our officers,” said Chief Woodall.
