The Response Network (TRN), owner and operator of Policecommunity.net, the leading provider of in-service online
training and administrative tracking software solutions, today announced that
the Texas Department of Public Safety (www.dps.texas.gov) has adopted TRN’s online training solution to
provide a consistent, cost-effective way to ensure that all 3,800 of its
commissioned officers maintain the highest level of readiness.
According
to The Response Network President & CEO Bradley J. Naples, the agreement
with The Texas Department of Public Safety comes at the same time that the
Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education has
approved for credit all of TRN’s online courses. “We are very proud to add the
Texas Department of Public Safety to the growing list of law enforcement
agencies throughout the United States who have come to rely upon TRN and our
Policecommunity.net online training solution to meet their training needs.”
According to J. Frank Woodall, Chief Training
Officer at the Texas Department of Public Safety, “By integrating The Response
Network’s online courses into our ongoing training programs, we believe we will
provide our officers with professional quality, cost-effective training. The online platform allows us to improve the
consistency of the training provided to our officers statewide while reducing
the costs to the agency.”
The
Response Network proactively developed a totally new online training course on
the use and operation of police traffic RADAR specifically to meet the needs of
the Texas Department of Public Safety. “This online course, which combines
state-of-the-art 3D design with the most current information on RADAR/LIDAR
operations and applications, allows us to leverage technology and more
efficiently train our officers,” said Chief Woodall.
According
to TRN’s Founder/CEO Brad Naples, “Providing on-demand online training courses
will allow the Texas Department of Public Safety to keep more officers on duty
rather than sitting in classrooms or attending costly in-person training
seminars. The education and training available from the experts at
Policecommunity.net meets or exceeds industry standards and will enhance the
way in which the Texas Department of Public Safety provides its officers with
the training necessary to do their jobs and protect the public. This is a
national trend, and The Response Network’s online training solution is the
highest-quality and lowest cost.”
The
Response Network’s in-service online training portal is exclusively dedicated
to meeting the training needs of the global law enforcement, public safety and
security communities. It is the only
in-service, online training solutions provider endorsed by and partnered with
both the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement (CALEA) and the FBI
National Academy Associates (FBINAA). Over the last year,
